Digital media has become an integral part of our society, and often a big part of children's lives starting from the moment they are born. While digital media has nearly limitless potential in education and a variety of other venues, the potential pitfalls for children engaging in social and other forms of digital media are equally as limitless. This course looks at many of the pitfalls and dangers associated with digital media such as cyberbullying, privacy issues, exposure, marketing to children, and more.
This course is appropriate for both general education and special education teachers of students in grades K-12 and is worth 3 graduate level professional development credits through University of Massachusetts Global.
